Interpreting Popular Music w/ My Hands
This was a performance at extra extra in April of 2010. I was asked by the members ofextra extrato perform an act of failure. I chose to perform as a musician because I knew I lacked the skills, but then over emphasized this by having no instrument, but a table. This stems from a game I used to play with my brothers when we would bang on the table and try to guess what song we were playing. I did take requests as well, which I could not fulfill. In the end I felt like an underappreciated piano bar player. Overall, the object was to show failure in the sense when something is so perfect in your mind, but you cannot interpret this to the audience.
